The offelle di parona are the classic biscuit from Lomellina (historical geographical area of Pavia) and were elaborated at the end of the 19th century. The ingredients are only soft wheat flour, butter, sugar, eggs, olive oil, yeast.
Initially they were produced in limited quantities and sold by number on the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary (7 October), but with the passage of time their production has increased.
